About
Field of Fire is a full conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. It pits two teams against each other to battle it out in a populated urban setting.

Players can hijack cars, blend in with civilians, or blast their way through the city in a tank. The object is to destroy the other team's home base. In order to get to the other base, each team must capture zones, linking their base to the enemy's.

Some zones can only be captured by one team, giving it a progressive attack and defend style of game play.

The team that destroys the other team's base first, wins!
Have fun, and please, think of the poor civilians next time you are in a tank.

Winning:
The team that destroys the other team's base wins. In order to be able to damage the other team's base, you must link up to their base through various zones. Some maps only allow one base to be destroyed. These are similar to 'Assault' maps.

Zones:
Zones allow you to link up your base to the enemy's base. If you capture a zone, it will allow your team to advance. The enemy can also take the zones back, unless the map is an assault style map. Then those 'one way' zones start in the other team's posession and once they are lost, they cannot be recaptured.
A zone is captured by standing near the zone's flag. You will see a flag icon appear on your screen when you are close enough to capture it. The flag must also be powered by a zone that you own already. If it is not powered, a shield will appear around the flag and you cannot capture it.
Every zone has two states, disabled and claimed. A team must first disable a clamed node before they can claim it for themselves.

Classes:
Every player can choose between 5 different classes. Each class has different weapon choices and abilities. Some classes can even travel faster than others. Refer to the classes page for more information.
